It's time again for the one room challenge, if you are not familiar with the challenge, It has 20 designer/bloggers documenting a redesign of a space in six weeks time. Linda from calling it home selects the designers and has them link to their post on her blog. She has also created a one room challenge guest participant, where anyone can link up and transform a room as well. I have done it twice before, and I really enjoyed the challenge and the motivation that it gives to finish a project so quickly. I completed my front entry and my kitchen.
I have decided to redo my family room which is in desperate need for a makeover. I am slowly transforming our home, which was extremely outdated when we purchased it. It is an old red brick victorian with a ton of charactor but lacking style. The family room which I will be working on, is really only used for Weekend movie nights, and video game battles for a roudy bunch of primary kids. So think kid friendly but it is one first visble rooms when you walk in, so kid friendly but not childish.
The horribly embarrassing before.
I have come up with three options, really the only difference is the rug. Feel free to weigh in on your favourite.
I have laid it out on AutoCAD so I could visually see the size for the area rug, art and even the scale of the pillows for the sofa. I wanted to make sure 26x26 wouldn't be too large for the sofa as well as how many to order.
Make sure to follow along with all the other One Room Challenge participants.
